Hi welcome to mindful moments with Layla. Today it's all about self-compassion, so let's take a few moments to just be together, be embodied and practice self-compassion. I invite you to close your eyes or find a spot to keep a soft gaze. I'm just going to begin by listening to the sounds around us, to practice to drop in and I like to take a few steps. The first being attuning our awareness to our sounds around us and bringing that awareness the shape of our body. Are we sitting? Where are we in the space? We can feel gravity holding us down. Maybe we feel the textures around us. Allowing the breath to be just as it is.
And bring to mind of compassion. Wow does it feel to embody self-compassion. What memories or images come to mind? Do we want to sway does the body want to move do? Do we want to embrace? Maybe offer a loving touch inviting self compassion wash over us. Allow it to soften our facial expressions. Allow your shoulders to roll back, your spine to lengthen. How does self compassion feel in your body? How does it feel to offer self compassion to yourself?
When we're feeling insecure, extra hard on yourself or like we’re an imposter, we can bring in self compassion to loosen and soften those feelings that come from fear. With our next inhale we will will breathe in feelings of self compassion; into our heart, into our stomach, into our shoulders. And know you can take the self compassion with you and you can call it into your body anytime you need. Now I invite you to come back into your space, open your eyes notice colors, see what's around. Feel the temperature. Offer some self touch.
Thanks for making time compassion.
